Ozanam Hall Creative Activities strive to provide a caring environment that not only serves the needs of our Residents, but also stimulates their interests. We believe we can best serve our seniors by providing them with opportunities to be active and engaged. Residents are encouraged to participate in programs, activities, and social life to the extent they are able. Whether it is gathering in our various Craft Activities where art and painting are favorite activities, or keeping active with gardening, or exercise activities, the possibilities are many.
Our Dementia residents benefit from our “Love Made Visible” program which offers various activities for the resident throughout the day and evening. We do things to create a special environment an environment that calms resident behaviors and improves our resident’s quality of live.
Our team of specialists, nurses, social workers, dietitians and Activities Staff exemplifies an interdisciplinary approach to care, which allows residents to enjoy cognitive, recreational, social, and spiritual support at all levels of function. We maintain a robust calendar of activities, many of which are developed to address the particular needs of these residents.

Pet Therapy can lower anxiety and agitation that come with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Pet visitations can also improve sensory stimulation, reduce stress, depression and promote social interaction and companionship. In our community we use pet visitation to enhance social interactions of residents. Pet Visitations generally include a short one-on-one visit from a person accompanied by one of our homes pets.
